It was good to see the return of Mr. Peterman. He is a classic character, would hate to lose him. Also, Newman is great as the spice in the episodes, just enough exposure to make the show interesting. Newman was great as Kramer's "sidekick" on the Merv Griffin set. Does anyone remember Merv's old sidekick, Arthur Treacher? Maybe a guest appearance by Merv showing up on his old set at the end of the show would have been classic!

Speaking of classic appearances, I can think of two involving Bob Newhart: The one and only time I watched "Murphy Brown" was when they had the actress who played "Carol", the secretary on the old Bob Newhart show. So, on this episode of Murphy Brown, she was a secretary. Sure enough, at the very end Bob Newhart shows up as Dr. Hartley and says to her "we need you to come back".
The other apparently was the last episode of the later "Bob Newhart" show, where at the very end he wakes up in bed with Emily (Suzanne Pleshette) and says "I just had the strangest dream".

I was just watching a repeat of MELROSE PLACE and I just saw Mr. Peterman! He was some kind of designer type who wanted to look at Jane's (Jodie Bisset) designs after Richard(Patrick Muldoon) and Jo (Daphne Zuniga) kicked her out of the ompany.

The actor who plays Peterman, John O'Hurley I think, is playing the mad scientist on the X-Files tonight! Yippee!
