Sort of similiar to when our local hockey star Mario Lemieux retired...A sportscaster asked him if he'd be back... he said no, but also slipped out, "but I have to take a year and decide things"...

Leno's begun - let's see what Jerry has to say - in a teaser clip for the show - he says that they will be back in a year - maybe it was taken out of context - we will know within the hour hopefully!

Who cares if they come back or not? If the finale has told the viewing public nothing else, it has told them that Seinfeld "was" a great show. When it was working, it was fantastic. It is all over now, though, and to quote another poster to this group who has captured my opinions on the issue more coherently than I could have captured them myself,
"I would have rather seen them in Paris".
I think that this ending certainly leaves the door open for Seinfeld to come back. If Jerry's plans do not go well and/or a someone comes up with a brilliant idea, perhaps he will call back the troops for more episodes or even a movie (remember the start with all four rushing to catch a movie). In a way, the show really follows Jerry's life with his plans to go back to stand-up comedy (as in the last scene).
The final episode is somewhat of a cliffhanger. This will certainly make for interesting conversations around the office water coolers.
