Seinfeld - Missed Opportunity

With no trailer or a title of the 10/31 episode, you would thought that Seinfled went back to insert a new bit for George with the Yankees victory. Also, Steinbrener being bumped, now would have been the perfect opportunity to bring him back and tie in the whole show. The hype is here and now and it seems poor judgement for Seinfled not to capture that in this weeks episode. I have read some great ideas as to how the episode should have gone. The episode was good, many previous references and yes they actually read this group based on the answering of who is jewish!

ok...Here's a test.....I am not with the Seinfeld show, so let's see if
this works.  Has Kramer ever had a gay relationship?  Remember in the
show where Kramer puts everybodys picture on the wall and Jerry gets
trashed because he doesn't want to kiss hello?????    Well, Kramer
plants a big wet one on Jerry's lips and George sees it and justs shuts
the door...thereby proposing that George knows that Kramer has
homosexual tendencies and was himself repulsed, but gives Jerry and
Kramer their space.    How's that for a thread and possible plot for an
upcoming episode?

This won't work for two reasons:

1) Announcing it is a test will make them skip it, the past items were hotly contested in the NG.

2) This is pretty silly. The fact that George walks out after seeing Jerry and Kramer already happened, and we all know why George walked out the way he did.

So, there's no thread, and very little plot...

I don't agree with most of what you wrote, however, I thought the same thing about the writers reading the newsgroup to answer the question about Elaine's Jewish Status. It was just too obvious that it seemed contrived.

I always get the feeling that the show is running away from its Jewish identity. At times they make fun of it and at others they make a point of distancing itself from it. Too bad, I really dig Elaine...being Jewish would have been a plus.
