The 'IN-JOKES'

I think my favourite thing about S. is that there are a lot of jokes made that u wouldn't find funny unless you happened to be privy to what they are talking about. The line, "I don't even know L.Ron Hubbard" (or to that effect) George, in the parking lot episode slipped by me the first time, as I didn't know about scientology. The Magic-Bullet theory was another example, as was the Bazooka Joe comment. This kind of stuff kills me. What is this week's episode???

according to last night's letterman rerun, the spasms at mary hartly's voice were an actual case written up in the new england journal of medicine.

Yeah, that was about a year ago. I saw Entertainment Tonight the day after the case made news. Mary Hartly made a comment, something along the lines of what epilepsy was and that she hoped for the best for the woman. It was interesting in the fact that I was sure the show was going to ignore the report completely and not make any reference to it.
