Yada yada syndication cuts

When George tells Marcie (his girlfriend) to stop using the yada yada and tell the whole story she's supposed to start with something like " O.K well I was coming out of the shower and I was dripping wet..." and George quickly says " NO ..NO.. not that story the other story like tell me about the free facial..."

Instead George asks her not to use the yada yada and goes right to the free facial. I hate those cuts , that line took only about 5 seconds and it's a funny line. There are other gaps in the dialogue with George and Marcie earlier in the episode.

I've only been taping the last three season in prime time and all previous seasons Ive taped from syndication and I wonder if I'm missing a lot of good lines . Is there great dialog missing from "The Contest" or "The Outing " ? ect..

I believe that every episode in syndication has cuts in it. And I believe it's a minute that is cut (although it could be 30 secs). This is done so that the networks that show syndication could add more commercials. It's standard practice for most, if not all, shows that are syndicated.

I read somewhere, and it may have even been in this group but I think it was TV Guide, that Jerry himself oversees all the editing done for the episodes in syndication to make sure the episodes stay as complete and funny as possible.
