Fans help identify two episodes: "The Tape" featuring Elaine's voice on a recording and "The Cheever Letters" with a ketchup scene, clarifying they are different episodes.

Let's find out. We'll start at The News Guy (Mike)'s Seinfeld site: http://www.geocities.com/tnguym/

A quickie Find for the word "tape" on his Episodes section reveals that this episode is called, appropriately enough, "The Tape".

Okay, same site. Let's use that Search utility on the main page and do a search for "ketchup". The first few hits aren't the correct ketchup reference, but farther down we find that the episode you're looking for is "The Cheever Letters".

Someone's a little on edge tonight...

Who, me? No, not at all. Since there are so many "which episode?" questions, I thought I'd share an easy way for people to find their own answers. Y'know, like that saying: "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, but set him on fire and he'll be warm the rest of his life". Wait, is that right?

Had I been on edge, I would've pointed out that the people asking these easily-researched questions are all a bunch of dumbasses. ;-)

Not so much a dumbass, I have 2 part-time jobs and am also completing my degree in secondary education. How's that? I, for one, don't have time to devote my life to watching Seinfeld episodes and memorizing every little detail about them, not to mention wasting my life in front of a computer checking out Seinfeld newsgroups. What about you? Thanks for a great laugh, you loser.

Gee, I guess I should've called him a dumbass after all, rather than helpfully explaining the process of finding such information for himself. :-)

I still suspect you're a PhysEd major. :-)

Did my tutorial help you out, or was it too "penis-centric"? I guess I had assumed I also use my brain to think, but you seem to be implying that it's my penis doin' all the heavy cognition. Which is odd, since my penis apparently has better research skills than *your* brain...

If I'm Jerry's penis, and "cee~cee" is Jerry's brain, who's Tawny Kitaen? And do I have to speak with a Brooklyn accent now?

It wasn't your "penis-centric" tutorial that was the problem. It was your stupid "dumbass" reply. Sorry, but I'm not up-to-date on all Seinfeld websites. Excuse me!

Ah, yes. That would be the joke which I specifically labelled with a smiley-face so people would realize I was just kidding? I got news for ya', Muffin: you're far too fragile for Usenet. And too humor-impaired for this newsgroup. But please, feel free to stay as long as you like--teasing you when you're angry is tremendous fun! :-)

Which is why I gave you the URL and politely explained how to use it. Yeah, I guess I'm a real jerk...

It's like at the end of The Cadillac with Kramer and the cable guy! :-)

BTW, I watched The Cadillac this week with the captions and the captions company transcribed exactly:

Chunnel's on HBO tonight. Why don't you stop by?

It's funny that they knew about this reference from The Pool Guy cause sometimes they have no idea what the scene is about. In the clipshow for exemple, they transcribed Jackie Chiles line in the cab from The Maestro episode like this:

Who told you to put the bomb on?
