When did you first start to love Seinfeld?

It took awhile for me to become a diehard fan. People were out there singing its praises and all I could think about was how infuriating George and Kramer were. And, how silly that neither George or Jerry could keep a relationship going. It was really pretty cartoonish, watching the women go in and out of the revolving door of Jerry's apartment.

Not till something tragic in my lie, did I start to actually enjoy and appreciate Seinfeld for the show it's meant to be...what exactly it's meant to be I cannot put into words....maybe you can...Anyway, from the depths of despair (my husband and I were) and yet still for that 1/2 hr every week (and then in syndication every day) we could count on a really good, dark laugh.

I was wondering if any of you guys out there also were slow to appreciate the show and if so what brought you around. Andrea

It was an "instant attraction" for me. I've loved it from the beginning. From episode one to now, and always. I love syndication!!!! I've probably seen every episode about 3 times. I'm shocked when I watch one and think, "I don't remember that part," that thought only lasts for about a minute or two. Oh, must not have made it back from the bathroom in time for that line, or someone phoned...etc. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that it seemed to them that Jerry always looks as if he's about to crack up. To me, it seems like this crazy little smurk, that ads to his character. "A Dennis the Menace", that little smart-ass attitude that I think all the characters have. MY attitude and where I think most of it's appeal comes from...just my opinion.

It did take watching it a few times for me to get into it. Same with Friends. There wasn't a particular episode that changed anything, but I kept trying because I knew they were favorites of friends of mine. Now, I hate to miss Seinfeld.

Bath time precluded me seeing Seinfeld until it went into syndication. The show was broadcast shortly after kid went to bed. It became the high point of my evenings.

I watched the "Master of Your Domain" episode with my mom right after my baby was born. Sharing that with her was really special !
