NTSC to PAL

Anyone here know how you convert NTSC to PAL???

I've got the whole Seinfeld on vid on NTSC and even though i've got a NTSC vid, i want to get them copied to PAL as well.

Check your Yellow Pages for a company that does video editing and/or duplicating. If I remember correctly (and I could easily be wrong), I think it's around $25 to convert a tape from NTSC to PAL or vice versa.

Some European PAL VCR reads NTSC and output it as Pal named 60 Hz (in fact most european NTCS/Pal scope do it, it is called NTSC with Pal output) and there are not most expensive than others. I would suggest the above as the better option - it is much better to play your original NTSC tapes on a dual standard VCR (in the UK, all half decent VCRs have been able to play NTSC for years now - no special TV required). If you get the tapes converted, not only will it be expensive, but the quality of your copies, taken from a VHS master, then converted through a (probably) poor converter, will look bad. But then again, have you seen the BBC2 broadcasts of Seinfeld? Can't get much worse than that!
