Pez Episode --- (Sept.2)

This episode was great!

The recital scene was so funny I couldn't stop laughing.

If you were laughing so hard, you must not have noticed what ticked me off about that scene ...

Ok, the entire point of the scene is that Jerry makes Elaine laugh in the middle of a recital, right? So what did they do? They add a laugh track! So the canned laughter ends up drowning out Elaine's laughter, so when you finally regain enough composure (after laughing) that you want to pay a bit closer attention again, you here the laugh track, and you're not sure whether or not it's drowning out Elaine, or if maybe one of the other characters is laughing also. I don't get it!

Or maybe I'm just paranoid ... since I know they use a laugh track in other places in the show, I just think they're using it again here, and they're really not, and what you here is everyone in the auditorium laughing. No, that doesn't make any sense because George's girlfriend implied that only one person was laughing. But maybe the laugh she was going to remember forever was just the first person she heard laughing ... oh, now I'll never figure it out ...

IMHO one of the *best* episodes. Especially the conversation with Jerry and George in the cafe' at the beginning, and when the bartender says that the other comedian (I'm horrid with names), really respects Jerry, and they cut to the scene with Jerry playing with the Pez dispenser.

I also like when Jerry was talking about the intervention at the end, when the intervenee remembers the story about his father trying to load the Pez dispenser and driving into the school cafeteria. "There was Pez everywhere".

I wonder what Kramer's beach cologne really would have smelt like.

I agree - I didn't notice use of a laugh track until this season's opener, and I think I'm sensitised to it. While it *was* annoying, I still managed to laugh like Elaine (when she tried holding it in).

BTW, this was a repeat from last season - I was bummed, since I thought it would be a new one.
