My apartment c. 1974. The Bonnie Brae. Clanging steam heat. The wall in the bathroom, I swear to God, starting to separate from the floor: 2". My roommate even looked a little like Kramer: tall, thin, wild-eyed, given to unusual ideas. We were not the tidiest of people: collecting and refrigerating spores seemed to be a better idea then than now. Laundry that didn't move on its own was considered to be clean. Bohemian life!

there was another episode..i forget which, where they were at the coffee shop, and jerry was talking to elaine, and all of a sudden George bursts out "I cant think of any situation where I'll ever have the opportunity to have sex again. I mean, how could it happen?" Hysterical stuff!

P.S. Does Kramer have a first (last?) name?

I'm just a casual viewer unlike some of the more "hard-core" viewers on the net , BUT I think I heard the woman in the nose-surgery (don't know how to spell rinoplasty) episode call him Sid/Cid. After she gets her nose fixed she says something like "I went to Sid's doctor" while standing next to Kramer. Kramer responds with a proud smile.

I'm sure I'll be corrected shortly....

The nose job episode does not reveal Kramer's other name. She says "I went to his doctor" while standing next to him and giving him a starry-eyed look.

I think we should start up more interesting conversations than the exact wording of phrases or whether or not the network caught the swearing on an episode. come on folks, let's get a life!

BRAVO. These things aren't that important. The important thing is discussing funny lines and situations and commentaries not whether someone screwed up one word of some phrase.

Observation 1: it's still re-run season. be a little more patient and you will likely be rewarded with threads more to your liking

Observation 2: this is a newsgroup dedicated to the Seinfeld show. you can expect some threads to be concerned with nit-picking details.

Observation 3: <flame on> it's neither your responsibility nor your right to try to control the content of this group. and phrases like "come on folks, let's get a life!" are annoying. if you aren't interested in picking apart the show, I can't understand what you are doing here. pick up the episode guide and go your own way, and leave those of us with no life alone. <flame off>

ObSeinfeld: in the episode where Elaine leaves the sexy recording on Jerry's tape of his show, I loved the scene where George and Elaine are in the car after she has revealed to him that she left the message, and he is trying to pick her up. That's funny stuff!

Puhleasssee! Do you have any idea of the magnitude of Seinfeld's nauseation if he were to find out there were a bunch of goobers sitting on the net wasting thousands of dollars of long-distance uucp time trying to remember if the nose-girl was saying "Sid" or "his"?

You guys are a bunch of Biff Lomans!

That is one of my favorites too. I go into seziures whenever I think of the part at the end when Kramer, Jerry and George are lined up trying to get Elaine to stay with those looks of horny desperation on their faces.

I was really surprised at how they dealt with sex in that episode. My commercial TV sensibilities (Ha!) were almost shocked when they did the Elaine/Porno Star bit that included the wounderful looks of discomfort on George's face.

Personally, I don't care if we make Seinfeld power chuck (forgive me). He's not my hero, but he does have a funny show. Some people enjoy discussing the little details--what's the big deal?

         [Insert indignant and sarcastic diatribe
          about wasting bandwidth here.]

We all have our own methods of wasting time in enjoyable ways.

I raise my keyboard in a salute to all meaningless Seinfeld trivia discussed in this news group. Cheers!

Chill. Most netnews is carried over the Internet, where there is no charges per byte...and few folks are silly enough to get the alt tree via long distance uucp.

Besides, the entire alt tree is blather, why not Sienfeld blather? At least it is blather about something that was funny.

Things are getting a little carried way on the Kramer name issue though.

What I'm WAITING for is for someone to transcribe ENTIRE episodes and have them available on THURSDAY MORNING. That'll be WORTH reading. YOW!

Here here. That is a good suggestion. And reading some of the other newsgroups, I'm surprised it hasn't been done before. If there is anyone out there that does not have a life 8-) that would like to do this, please rest assured that your efforts would not go unappreciated (note double negative).

Still searching for a life. -phil
