Jerry announced this week that his 15-year friend,a fellow stand-up comic, and the real-life Elaine Bennis,Carol Liefer will be one of the opening acts on his summer tour. Looks like Jerry is getting some better&funnier comics to open up for him this time around. Could it be as the result of "Seinfeld"s growing popularity? Hmmm

Oh yuck--Carol Liefer is the "real" Elaine? I have never seen her appeal, and I wish she'd get another joke besides, "I was in a mixed marriage; I was human..." that she's told in EVERY SINGLE APPEARANCE she's ever made on any show at any time. I don't think it's ever once got a laugh, but she just won't let it go...

Actually, there was a piece on Ms. Leifer on the Weekend Entertainment Tonight, which included an appearance by Mr. Seinfeld. Anyways, Leifer has been part of the "Jackie Thomas Show" writing staff lately, accounting for the Seinfeld references on that program...
