Buffy VS. Jerry

Found this article on the Net. I find it funny that the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer doesn't like Seinfeld cause the characters can't be taken seriously, you know like a teenage vampire killer can.

- The creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Mondays, 9 p.m./ET, WB) has stabbed a verbal stake into the heart of Seinfeld (Thursdays, 9 p.m./ET, NBC). "It's the coldest show on TV," Joss Whedon recently told New York magazine. The Toy Story scribe isn't just jumping on the recent slam-Seinfeld bandwagon -- apparently, he never liked it. "I understand that it is witty. But I never feel compelled to turn it on, because I don't care about these people. If I'm making the emotional connection to the person in the story, the person in the story could be an amoeba. The show is about disenfranchisement, the people nobody takes seriously." Ironically, Whedon -- who hails from the Seinfeld terra firma of New York's Upper West Side -- was drafted by the WB because his series attracts a "must-see-TV" audience to the network, according to WB sources. Hmmm... perhaps he'd like Seinfeld better if Kramer suddenly joined the ranks of the undead-

Interesting article. Sounds like 'sour grapes' to me. The best show on WB isn't even as good as the commercials on NBC. Hell, even UPN laughs at WB! But hey, if Mr. Whedon feels the need to slam Seinfeld to feel better about himself, then who am I to stand in the way?

Maybe he just doesn't like Seinfeld, amazingly enough there are some people that don't care for it.

Nope. The bullshit hype annoyed me so much I made the decision not to watch long before the show actually aired.

I can see some reasons for watching....like Buffy herself...other than that I doubt that it could be that good with the premise of the whole thing.
