Seinfeld immitates Life Again - racist Remark?

There was an article in the Toronto newspaper today about a case in Washington DC. A local official, David Howard, from the mayor's office told two of his aides that there was a cut in the city budgets and he would have to be niggardly with the fund. The official was white and the two workers were afro-american (is that still correct?). They complained, and the guy was forced to resign for making racial remarks. [For those who don't know, niggardly means 'miserly' or 'careful with money'(as Elaine would describe George). - it has nothing to do with the offensive 'N' word]

So as I had said in an earlier anti-Tanaka post, the article goes on to quote TheWall Street Journal which says if this PC idiocy continues we will no longer be able to say 'someone has a chink in his armour' or use 'spick-and-span'...

... I would add 'scalp tickets' at the Mets game or make 'reservations' for dinner....

Actually, it was only the black (Yes, "black", I don't use hyphens) aide that freaked over it. The black community didn't seem to mind. Seems the aide was a little too conscious of racial issues, to the point where it made him look stupid.

BTW, the word "niggardly" has Scandinavian origins.  It basically means
"stingy" and other than the similar sound, it has nothing whatsoever to
do with the epithet "nigger", and if it's good enough for Milton and
Chaucer, it's good enough for me.

I got a question for you pros. In ".The wizard" Elaine and Darryl are about to order food and a couple gets up to leave and supposedly make a racist remark to which Darryl comments something like: "Did you hear that!! There are still people who have trouble with an interracial couple." I try to understand what the guy said in the first place but I can't make it out on my video.

Does anybody know?
