I think the Wiz guy is also based on "Crazy Eddie"; another Tri-state (New York) area electronics store chain that was famous for it's commercials in the 70's/80's. The commercials had this guy shouting into the tv about how low the prices were: "Crazy Eddie...his prices are insaaane!"
