Please help me decide on who won this bet! Me and my stepmother made a bet concerning the spelling of "Yada Yada Yada" in Seinfeld. She says it is spelled "Yadda" and I say that it's "Yada". If you have any proof of either one of the spelling variations, please contact me (and list your source, if possible). Thanks a lot.
It's definitely "yada". I'm looking at my Entertainment Weekly special Seinfeld edition and it spells it that way. All the other articles I have on Seinfeld spell it that way too. Hope that helps! What do you win from the bet?

And oh, I'd definitely say 2 d's in 'Yadda' as in "bladder," "ladder," etc. Now look at "cad," no second vowel, and one 'd.'
I'd look up a script to settle the bet, but that doesn't mean the spelling's accepted, since it's really a new word. We're sailing uncharted waters.
I would say that it is spelled Yada. This is how I spell it on my Seinfeld website (http://move.to/seinfeld) and I did a lot of research on it while I was making it. It was kinda split right down the line as to if it was Yada or Yadda, so I choose Yada because it is shorter :o) .

The official title of the episode was "The Yada Yada", so you can see
the spelling that Jerry agreed with. Now, why did they only use two
'yada's in the title when the phrase generally includes a third 'yada'?
Maybe to keep the episode title shorter? Why didn't they do that with
"The Puerto Rican Day", "The Reverse Peephole", or "The Sniffing
Accountant", all of which contain more letters that the three 'yada'
title?
