Seinfeld - slacking off?

After viewing the first 3 episodes of "Seinfeld" this season I have concluded it is slacking off. It just isn't as good as it used to be. Elain's hair looked awful is the last one. George is an idiot to stay on that board. It's been four months since Susan's death and the board is just starting up now? Get real! Jerry needs to take some acting lessons. And Kramer...will that guy ever buy his own food?!? I don't even think I'll watch "Seinfeld" this Thursday. I think I'll tune in to the season premiere of "Murder One" on ABC. At least that show is believable.

I like both Murder One and Seinfeld (this is why God made VCRs) and I think Ian is entitled to his opinion! It's possible to respect people even when they disagree with you, duh..

You're being too sensitive. It is just a saying from "The Lone Ranger" or something like that. It was just a pop culture reference.

(For example, I sometimes say "What does that have to do with me, Al Franken?", and it doesn't mean that I really think I'm Al Franken.)

Although Seinfeld is not at the show's best, I still find the show entertaining and I think that a weaker Seinfeld is still better than most of the sit-coms out there on TV today. JMHO

That's right. We stayed with the show for 7 years, through episodes like The Bottle Deposit, just so we could, one day, entirely without provocation, turn around and dump it. Yes, we've been waiting 7 long arduous years, and now our time has finally arrived.

We're being supportive by continuing to watch it, even when we think it sucks. Completely shutting down your critical facilities when watching the show is not being supportive, it's being willfully blind, like the spouse of an alcoholic.

The "we" above refers to die hard Seinfeld fans who continue to watch the new episodes despite the drop in quality. This is the same "we" whom certain other Seinfeld fans insist that, if "we" don't find every single episode a complete laugh riot, then we aren't really Seinfeld fans, and should leave this news group immediately.

I think they needed something office-like to replace the Yankees since they don't have Larry David to play Steinbrenner any longer. Plus, George IS an idiot. Have you not been watching the show for the past 6 or 7 seasons (or however many it's been on)? His character is founded on the very poor decision making skills (and lying, of course).

I don't necessarily think seinfeld is slacking off..i think they are just going through a dry spell...they have been on fer so many years now...how can you keep a show about "nothing" runnning that long with out a little bit of a problem. But you are right...Jerry cannot act..and he tries not to smirk or laugh when he talks because basically he thinks he is funny. Kramer will never get his own food...why bother..shit if my nextdoor neighbor let me eat his food..i would!!! Wendi
