movie references

in one seinfeld episode involving a stereo that george borrowed from his father and sundry german tourists and kramer's introduction of the 'bro' there is a scene where an old german lady chases kramer . this scene is definitely a parody of the one in 'marathon man' where the old lady chases lawrence olivier.

is there somewhere i can find all the references to movies like this in various seinfeld episodes.

also the librarian character in the overdue book episode is modelled on someone it seems like. who is it?

The closest would be Joe Friday of Dragnet who talked in a short hard factual way. But I do not think it was a parody of the Dragnet character, just modeled on him a bit.

He sorta reminded me of the one of the guys who helped Ted Striker fly the plane in Flying High, or was it in the sequel. The guy who flew with Ted in the war anyway. A pretty far reached reference I suppose..

It was similar to Marian the Librarian (Shirley Jones) who was rather uptight and (at first) not interested in the advances made by Harold Hill (Robert Preston) in "The Music Man." As with Kramer, Hill's charms finally wore Marian's resistance down.
