Is it just me or the episodes started to decay from when things went a little out of the common sense??
I reckon that if Seinfeld will stick to reality and will do their 'nothing' on incidents that have a slight chance of happening or at least something we can be identified with things will get MUCH better.... as it was on the 1st-7th seasons....
I agree that Seinfeld is not as good as it used to be but do you really expect everything to be realistic? This is a sitcom we are talking about not a documentry!

For instance, what are the odds that someone could drop something out of a window and pop the Woody Woodpecker balloon, or the chances that someone would make you take a lie detector to see if you watched Melrose place? Whow would wear just a bra as a top? The chances are pretty slim, but possible, in outrageous circumstances.
On the other hand, you simply couldn't drop a huge ball of oil onto someone from sixteen stories up without killing them. A real person couldn't swim in the East River because the current would be too strong. You can't remodel a kitchen to the extent that Jerry's was changed in "The Nap" in just a few hours. You can't get dragged for a quarter-mile by a car and emerge as unscathed as Jerry was.
Recently the show too often crosses the line from implausible to impossible. So we're really asking that the show is conceivably realistic. De jure realism, if not de facto realism, so to speak. Implausible is funny, and even impossibility is funny if it's done in a clever and surreal way, as in The Bizarro Jerry. But impossibility gets worn out faster, because it's too unbelievable to relate to.

Geez, Seinfeld is purely fictional. Why should anything portreyed on Seinfeld or any fictional show be possible? If we took your attitude, we wouldn't have any cartoons, no science fiction, and certainly most comedy shows would never exist. In order to be entertained, you need to suspend your disbelief, that's part of enjoying any fictional work, not just Seinfeld.
I like to think of it like this, it is a sit-com right? and sit-com means situation comedy, so relaisticy the show should have at least plausible situations with a funny ring to them, and thats what seinfield is. Many other sitcoms that do not last violate this by having impossible sitauions. The simpsons is a classical example of this, it has impossible siutaions but being a cartoon this is acceptable, if it was live action IMO it just would not work. As for sci-fi or cartoons they are okay becuase they are total fiction and the laws of relaity do not usually aply to them
