i read where julia & brad have a 3 year old son. when did she have this kid? she was never prego on the show. did she adopt or was it that she had the kid during hiatus and just didn' t show during the season?

She was pregnant during the third and fourth seasons. She wore very baggy blazers and stuff. I thought that too when I read that she had a 3 year old son, but I went back in my tapes and found some epsiodes where Elaine was kinda chubby. But she hid it well! --Tracy
it up by having her wear jackets and carry trays and have pillows on her lap when she was sitting on the couch. Some of the episodes it's pretty obvious. J-9

It was near the end of the third season, before "The Trip." They sent Elaine "on vacation" for a few episodes at the beginning of season 4 while she was having the baby. (They were just re-run in NY in syndication, which is the only reason I even remember this.)
If I remeber right, she had the kid during the offseason. She was prego on a few eps. Those were right around the time Kramer snuck off to LA after the "Keys Incident". If you notice, she wasn't in a few episodes then and when she was, tehy had a pillow on her lap. I think they also hid her by sending her to Europe with that shrink. The first episode when she came back from the trip was her first show back. If I remember right, Jerry opens his door and Elaine pops in with her hands over her head (ala victory) and Jerry & George gives her a big hug and the audience gives her a big ovation. Feel free to contradict me if I'm wrong.
