i have noticed that shows use the same ideas as old seinfeld ex: Friends, everyone loves raymond, ect... pleez reply and give exemples!

Fans discuss how other TV shows copy Seinfeld's format and ideas, and also note that many actors who appeared on Seinfeld guest-starred on other NBC shows like Friends, Newsradio, and Suddenly Susan.

Lets see, there are only three other networks - 180(?) episodes - about two or three guests per episode - how many could have come from NBC? about a third? Is that surprising?

Brad Garrett, Ray's brother Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond played Jerry's mechanic.
Puddy used to be a regular on Dave's World.
Candice Bergen played herself playing Murphy Brown.
David Letterman played himself (although, I think he was on NBC at the time).
I dn't think CBS has any actors.. have you ever tuned in???

I don't keep track of which actors "belong" to which networks, but check out the FAQ sections 4.14 and 4.19 for the "Who's made appearances?" lists. There are quite a few celebrities and many stars who showed up on Seinfeld before they became stars.
Heck, last night I was flipping channels and found some new Army sitcom
featuring the tall, blond haired, goofy-looking guy who was in the
acting class with Kramer and Mickey when they were given diseases to act
out. He was the guy who got "The surgeon left a sponge in me". He only
had like 2 lines and somehow got a sitcom out of it. Another happy
recipient from the Seinfeld Springboard to Success.

Does anyone know the name of Elaine's roommate? I saw what I think is her in The Negotiator, the actresses name was Siobahn Fallon (sp?). She was quite good actually, she played one of the hostages. Great movie, by the way.
