What was with Jerry's glasses?

Jerry and Elaine went to the Alex Theater, and Kramer had brought Lloyd Braun with him. Since Elaine used to go out with him, she felt very uncomfortable. Lloyd said that he arranged seats so that they could all sit together. But Elaine said that she was sorry but they couldn't and that Jerry and her had to sit in the front row because Jerry forgot his glasses. So a few days later, Kramer tells him to put on the glasses to not hurt Lloyd's feelings.
