Why I still watch this show

ok...i haven't posted here in a long time, but I can't help it...I need to vent. Why do I still watch this show? Sadly enough, it's not a funny show anymore. I find that the number of times I laugh out loud are becoming increasingly rare. Sad to say, but my favorite show is nearing the end. In its heyday, Seinfeld was the greatest. But now I think it's become too popular and lost its edge. Sure, last night's (10/2) episode was cute. I even laughed out loud a few times. But for the most part, the new episodes aren't even worth adding to my collection (12 tapes full of s-feld episodes). I just wish we could have one more Pigman episode...one more Keith Hernandez.

BUT....

nevertheless...I continue to watch. I wouldn't dare miss a show on the off-chance that it may be a good one. But right now, my best bet is catching the good ones in syndication...

Hello there. I don't post too much on this newsgroup, unless something really strikes me, however, I've been reading it now for about a year and a half. I was reading at the end of 2 seasons ago, when Susan died, and everyone freaked out. Then last year, when the new season began, everyone said it sucked and the new season was horrible, and blah, blah, blah....I just think it's kind of funny. The same things everyone said last year, their saying again..."this show is nearing it's end", "I don't know why I still watch it"....I know why...It's the greatest show ever! That's why we're all still here. Some episodes are not instant classics, and maybe that's the case so far this season in some folks opinion, but with time...they too will become Seinfeld Classics. We'll miss them when they're gone, whether you want to admit it or not. As someone who's seen every episode, I have to say, I will be very sad when there are no NEW Seinfeld's to look forward to. At least we'll have the old ones to remember them by. All in my humble opinion. Matt
