Another jilted husband is accusing Jerry Seinfeld of specializing in wife removal.

Jace Richdale, the husband of former Seinfeld squeeze Jennifer Crittenden, charges that the comic moved in on his wife while he was trying to save their troubled marriage.

"It's almost like he gets a kick out of ending people's marriages," Richdale tells us. "It's like he has everything, and [married women] are a turn-on for him."

The relationship heated up swiftly after Richdale and Crittenden, a former "Seinfeld" writer, separated late last spring, he says. But their three-year marriage wasn't over.

Crittenden reportedly hooked up with Jerry last summer when she was seen holding hands with him at a vintage car show.

"Within a few weeks of her moving out, she was involved with him," says Richdale, who met his wife when they were writers on "The Simpsons." "We were still in marriage counseling when she started seeing him. I honestly couldn't say whether he was seeing her during our marriage, but I have wondered."

Friends of Seinfeld vouch that the comic was honorable in romancing Crittenden. They say he waited until she and Richdale were no longer living together before asking her out.

But Richdale sees a soulmate in Eric Nederlander, the Broadway theater heir who has accused Seinfeld of coming between him and his estranged wife, Jessica Sklar.

Sklar has told friends that her split with Nederlander after three months of marriage had nothing to do with Seinfeld. But Richdale says: "I don't know Jerry Seinfeld. But this does seem to be a pattern with him."

Crittenden didn't return calls for comment. Richdale and other sources believe the L.A.-based TV writer is no longer dating Seinfeld.

As for Richdale, he's not doing so badly. He's dating Paula Adbul and has just signed a $2 million TV production deal with Warner Bros.

Seinfeld's spokesman declined comment.

Ya know?  It's wierd.  I was just thinking of Jerry's appearance on
Letterman the week of the final episode.  He said something about how
the other actors can now "remove" those characters and become themselves
again, but because Jerry essentially played himself, he's "still having
episodes".  Stuff still keeps happeneing to him, it's just no longer
being blocked and shot for our amusement.

Does anyone else feel that life is imitating art here...that Jerry was inspired by the episode in which he "waited out" a bum marriage...and ended up doing just that (and not having to wait long, by the way) in real life? Or maybe, could it be that he, Larry David and the writers were just such good observers of contemporary mores, that it was inevitable that what they put on the screen would eventually unfold offscreen the same way?

Affirmative. And, carrying the theme of "show Jerry" influencing " real Jerry" a step further---it won't be long before real Jerry tires of the now-available ( read unchallenging) lady in this current episode--of his real life.

You know, I gave Jerry credit for having more sense than that. I had always regarded him as a rare combination of the following: mogul, comedian, CEO of Seinfeld Inc., writer, author. But now he seems to be acting more like an "actor" than he did when he was on his show.

I don't know about Kramer not touching a married woman but my point was Kramer had the Kavorca, not Jerry.
