Hey there a.t.s. - I was just reading all the posts about who was watching and decided to get out last night's tape and list them for everyone once and for all... so here they are:
- Susan and her lover (name?)
Together (after hearing some comment from the TV George, nodding): George.
2. An old man and a black woman (I assume from "The Old Man," which I missed):
Old Man: What kind of stupid show is this?... Hey, that's that idiot that took all my records! (Woman laughs at show)
- Marla (the virgin) and the arm of JFK Jr. holding the remote
Marla: John, what are you doing? Come back to bed. John (heavy Kennedy accent): This - uh - show looks interesting, uh... Isn't it that Seinfeld fella you went out with? Marla: Ooooh, he's horrible, horrible! John: Nevertheless...
- The Drake and a woman with a tiny TV watchman
Drake: Aw, that Jerry's a funny guy, huh? Got to love the Sein! Woman: Hate the Sein.
5. Ping the delivery man and his (sister? cousin? I can't remember... the lawyer, as has been mentioned in previous posts)
Ping (in some foreign language - it's being debated in some other thread): I can't believe you liked him. Ping's sister/cousin: I thought he was dark and disturbed. Ping: Real perceptive.
- Bubble Boy's arm/hand and parents
(Parents laughing) Bubble Boy (Donald): It's a piece of crap! Mom: Oh Donald, you used to like him. (Dad shushes him, laughs) Donald: What a sellout. Give me that remote. Dad: No. (Dad and Donald start to struggle over the remote, Donald repeating "Gimme that" and Dad saying "No!) Mom: Donald!
Cut to Jerry and co. discussing the show, then cut back to "Jerry"
- Mr. and Mrs. Seinfeld
(Both laughing) Mr.: That's terrific! Mrs.: How could anyone not like him? (More laughter)
- Calvin Klein and the model from "The Airplane" and "The Pick"
CK: I like his style... he has a sort of casual elegance. Model: But he picks his nose. CK: Nevertheless.
- "Salman Rushdie" and Sidra from "The Implants"
"Salman": He's a member of our health club, isn't he? (Sidra sighs, pause) Sidra: Yeah. (Pause) "Salman": You know, that Kim Novak had some big breasts. (She gives him a look)
- Newman sleeping, watching a Yankees game
Well, that's all of them. Yes, I'm bored. Finals are over and I'm waiting to graduate. As far as the show goes, I thought it was pretty good, but nothing amazing. I agree with a previous poster who said that the pilot theme was the least funny of the season - it was too bad they spent so much time on it. I thought some of the subplots in this ep - Russell, diner waitresses, TV Elaine - weren't all that funny, but George's lip ("He didn't give me a 'get outta here'!"), Kramer's problem and the auditions were all good, and of course all of the past show montage references were hilarious.
That's about it for now... looking forward to next season!
