What about the time Jerry's trying to change George's girlfriend's answering machine tape before she hears the messages George left and she starts to come into the room and George, panicking, yells out to warn Jerry, "Tippietoe! Tippietoe! Lemon tree!" Absolutely hilarious.

I have to agree with you on the George quote. I hadn't seen that episode until recently and when I did see it I did get quite a laugh from it. You can't say enough for re-runs I guess. Maybe you can explain how a guy like George gets so many good looking girls? Just wondering!

In "The Limo," George tells some guy that "We are living in a society" when the guy won't give him the time of day.

I recall George saying this in at least one other episode. Does anybody know which one(s)?

I believe he said this in The Chinese Restaurant when he felt he was cut in line for the phone.

George says "We're living in a..." in "The Chinese Restaurant" while waiting to use a payphone.

For my money the best George quote is, " Nothing is a lie, if you believe it," but I can't for the life of me remember what episode it was on.

It's the episode where Jerry has to take a lie detector to see whether or not that he has seen "Melrose Place" It's last season's.

I know he was mentoring Jerry there, who had to tell a lie. Was it the one where Elaine wanted to live in his building?

There was a similarly amusing scene in one episode where Jerry and George want to get out of having dinner with J. Peterman. Jerry is able to weasle his way out of it, but George - the usually consummate liar - is unable to think of his own excuse to leave. A concerned Jerry approaches George ... Jerry: "Come on, weave your web, Liar-Man!" George: (looking around furiously) "I'm choking!!!"

It was such a melodramatic scene! Great episode.
