George's brother?

OK. I always got the impression that George was an only child. Then I saw an old episode (he fights with Mike Moffa over "head-first parking") in which he says "No one in my family ever paid for parking. My father didn't. My brother didn't." Whoa! Have there ever been any episodes in which George's brother shows up? Or mentioned? Mr. and Mrs. Costanza never mention him.

There is another episode where George is visiting a psychic who asks him "Who is Pauline" and he said that his brother once impregnated a woman named Pauline.

I have been watching some re-runs lately and twice George has refered to his brother. Does anyone know anything about this guy? Is he older/younger? Has he ever made an appearance?

	Yes!  However Georges parents never refer to this
	fellow.  You never hear

"Your brother never comes over!"

etc... I wonder if the writers simply screwed up.

I think it would be very interesting to be able to ask these questions to either a writer or to one of the cast. I guess there are inconsistencies with lots of sitcoms but we notice them more on Seinfeld because we (at least I) watch the reruns over and over. Do you think that's a bad sign?

Heck, I recently saw an episode of Cheers where Frasier talked about his dead father. More proof that John Mahoney's a zombie.

They explained this on a Frasier episode when Sam Malone (aka Ted Danson) came out to Seattle to visit. Sam tells Frasier "I thought your father was dead." Frasier: "Well, we weren't speaking to each other at the time."
