What's wrong with this newsgroup

Have you ever noticed that nobody responds to a subject. Everybody is always creating thier own subjects. Is it that most of you don't know how to respond to existing postings or subjects?

I usually respond to subjects. Maybe some people create new posts because they think no one will wade through the responses. In some newsgroups, this may be the case and they may have good reason to create a new subject. It would be handier to keep everything about the same topic under one subject, though. Jennfer

I see that too. Could it be that people who download the text here pre-write their replies so they are posted as seperate entries??

My problem (maybe because I'm on AOL and they suck) is when I hightlight text (as above) and write my reply below, the posted note all runs together....

I guess you haven't been here long. I respond to plenty of posts. Many of us do. If your posts are not getting any responses, maybe you need to reconsider what constitutes a quality post. Many posts do not rate a response, some deal with issues that have been discussed ad nauseum, and the regulars find it tiresome to rehash the same old same old. But look at the recent "Seinfeld food" threads. Because this was an interesting idea, and one that folks of varying degrees of 'Sein-knowledge' were able to participate in, it generated dozens of responses and spawned several more threads of the same subject.

So, to respond to the question in the Subject line;
nothing is wrong with this newsgroup that isn't wrong
with every group on Usenet.
