Was there something toxic on the set of Seinfeld that all these people have died.

I wonder how many in the studio audience have also succumbed to the malady?

I'm no specialist but the death rate seams somewhat lower than the average population.

The american death rate is 8.8 death per 1000 inhabitants per year. you do the math. In 6 years (since seinfeld ended) about 50 of them should have died. So basically 21 of them were saved. That seems pretty good to me.

conclusion : beeing an actor on Seinfeld helps you remain healthy !!!

There were only a copuple of babies, even though one almost died at it's bris...blame the flincher... And since most of the actors were, say women in their twenties, their life expectancies would be 75 or more. Of course black males in the USA have life expectancies of only 65, so that would bring down the average had more blacks been on Seinfeld, ...but that's another newsgroup thread... :-)

However, since we watch Seinfeld every day, download the video files, buy the DVD's I think all these actors will live hundreds of years or more into the future if only just in minds of their fans.

But regardless of what the ordinates are, why in the word is there a five years dip for men in 1936 compared to 1933? There was no war on, and women had a similar decline. If there were an epidemic I think I would have heard about it by now.

I think the "epidemic" was the depression. Life expectancy numbers are greatly affected by infant deaths; it brings the "average" way down quickly. I would expect there were a much greater infant mortality than normal due to malnutrition and lack of medical care. (But I am also just guessing)
