Was Seinfeld conceived in the Stage Deli?

Of course, I mean the TV show, not Jerry - (that old gag).

Seriously, I've read in a Jerry Seinfeld biography, that Larry David and Jerry were bantering in the 7th Ave. eatery in the late 80's, when Larry said "This should be the show." and then had they basically the first "show about nothing" conversation.

It's a moment that George Costanza has at Monk's Cafe, I think.

Anyhow, does anyone know if this happened at the Stage Deli? Maybe Wyaduck could get this answered.

I've just recently rented quite a few seinfeld books from the library to bone up on info and facts not available in the show...

so if they are in there i'll let you know :-)

Just don't keep those library books for 25 years... that would be criminal.
