Why didn't George flash the Van Buren Sign?

Kramer showed Jerry and George the secret gang sign so why didn't George flash it when they asked him to?

I don't think George was present when Kramer showed the sign to Jerry. And, in the bar, he could not tell George the sign because he sold the rights to the stories of his life to J. Peterman. He could only give a clue, and George didn't get it.

Actually, he showed Elaine and Jerry. George wasn't there. I remember because it was right after the "Ghostwriter" joke.

I think he only showed Jerry, not George... George asked Kramer about it later, but Kramer couldn't tell him, because he sold all his stories to Peterman.

Kramer didn't tell Jerry and George the sign because he had sold all his stories to Peterman. Kramer just gave George the tip that the Van Burens didn't hurt their own kind.
