As Kramer himself might say, "Au contraire, Jer." Actually, in this episode he didn't say much at all, which Michael Richards can do because of his wonderful gifts for physical comedy (send him back in time 75 years, and with the right writers, he gives Keaton and Lloyd a run for their money). Tonight's episode had Kramer a little wacky (and quite a bit tactless, as the opening scene showed), but his character can get away with it. Compare it to "The Dealer" from 1/8, where similar behavior from George was incredibly obnoxious and one-dimensional.

George was settled down tonight, and his relationship with Jerry was the best I've seen it in some time--unlike this season, where George has often played Daffy Duck's schlemiel to Jerry's Bugs Bunny. I thought the lookalike subplot was pretty good, and I'm sure the scriptwriters were oh so tempted to have either Jerry or George mouth the "not that there's anything wrong..." line.

I liked the Kathy Griffin character--if you've worked in show business, you've probably run across a psycho or two like her. She was used to much better effect here than in the formulaic "Suddenly Susan" (but then, aren't ALL of NBC's non-"Seinfeld" sitcoms formulaic?).

The Elaine subplot with the cartoon was okay, nothing special. The idea had potential.

In my mind, this was one of the season's stronger episodes. It had a feel reminiscent of earlier seasons (a thought reinforced when I saw tonight's WPIX rerun on casting for the fictional "Jerry" show). If this artistic rebound continues, the series will go out with a bang--not the whimper so many of us had feared after the car dealer episode.

I, too, enjoyed this episode. The plotlines flowed smoothly enough but, as usual, it was the little things that kept me laughing (or at least kept me appreciative.)

George, pretending to 'get' the cartoon, and being called on it by Elaine.

George, describing his girlfriend: "a nose, a mouth..." Elaine: "We know what a face consists of."

Kramer's descriptions of George's relationship with Jerry, including "a perverse sexual amalgam", and George's "man love".

I liked Jerry referring to mute Kramer's 'cone of silence' (A nod to one of my favorit shows ever, "Get Smart")

Elaine mentioning Jerry's sketches of "a naked Lois Lane" (A non-figurine/magnet Superman reference.)

Jerry picking 'schmutz' from Kathy's sweater. ('schmutz' is a very comedic sounding Yiddish word.) And Kathy turning it around, "Hey, Shmutzy!"

The mini cassette recorded with the devil horns that she used to plau Jerru's message on during the act.

Kramer's choice for Elaine's cartoon caption: The pig says, "My wife is a slut!"

"Puddy has Ziggy bedsheets."

Newman's dig: "So nice to see a show that's about something."

And the clincher. Knowing that the gum stuck in Janet's hair would result in her cutting it short didn't stop me from being amazed at how much Tracy Nelson looks like Jerry.

Kramer, at the end, after he blew it and spilled the beans: "Ok, starting... Now!"

I think she looks a lot like Sarah Michelle Gellar of "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer". (But Tracy isn't as pretty)

You have no taste! So maybe it was not the gretest but it had it's moments like when Kramer and Jerry are in Jerry's apartment in the beginning. And Kramer says something along the line of "somebody's in a bad mood, one of us should leave" and then he just stands there and stares. I thinks it's time people stop criticizing every single thing about the show. It has reached a level where any small inconsistency is jumped on by so called fans like you. To this day I have liked every single show in one form or another even if it wasn't that good. True Seinfeld fans should start enjoying the small things about the show instead of complaining all the time!!!!

Come on! It wasn't that bad! Sure it was a little boring in some parts, but overall it was an OK episode! You are being too critical, enjoy these last episodes while you can, I thought it was fine, nothing exciting but I think it's trying to return back to how the old days were.

That was because in real life that comedian was upset after appearing on a previous episode of Seinfeld. In a real H.B.O. special she talked about Jerry, and really did say "F--- You Jerry Seinfeld". It must be true - I saw it on E.T.!

** I saw both Jerry Seinfeld and Kathy Griffen ( on different occasions ) on talk show appearances and they spoke of the incident....I think they both read letters to each other discussing the said incident.....she complained on how Jerry (or the staff ) treated her on her appearance on the show ( I believe )..she also mentioned the incident on her HBO special..I suppose the half hour was a condensed version of what happened**

Very poor episode; not even Mr. Bently from "The Jeffersons" could save it. The lead story, regarding Jerry and the comedianne he insults, was particulary stupid.

I thought the funniest part was where Kramer and Jerry are arguing in Jerry's apartment:

Kramer says "Well I think one of us should leave" and they both just looked at each other for 5 seconds.

Classic Seinfeld show about nothing stuff!

Ha ha, what a moron. The Cartoon was a great episode. If you don't like Seinfeld or if you only like the "wacky episodes" like The Dealership and The Bizarro Jerry (both of them were good, especially the bizzaro jerry) you wouldn't like this episode. This episode did suck what was up with that. That is the first bad episode I think I have ever witnessed of seinfeld. now I'm depressed. jeff

Your right, the show sucked. I barely cracked a smile watching this particular episode. The thing with Elaine about the cartoon was a bit of a stretch, in my opinion. For some reason, a lot of the witty repartee that were mainstay of previous episodes are gone in this years batch of episodes.
