A question about "The Clip Show"

I heard on the radio a couple of days ago that NBC is going to show "The Clip Show" again, but this time, they're going to show the last 15 minutes that we didn't see the first time. Did anyone else hear this?

Not necessarily "the last 15 minutes" but they are adding about 11 minutes of clips, and another 3-4 minutes of commercials, to pad out the hour. The added stuff will probably be shown between 9:30 and 9:45, just BEFORE that last clip montage that played over the Green Day song.

Odd thing is, they're planning on playing it on July 9, two months before the final rerun broadcast which is supposed to happen around Labor Day. It would make more sense to make the clip show the last network airing of Sein- feld just before the new fall season. Since they've already played the finale twice and run it into the ground, what will be the actual last Seinfeld episode NBC airs before Frasier takes over the time slot this fall?

There are a few viable options.Would they trim down the finale and run it a third time to burn it out totally before making a fresh start with Frasier? Will they pick out just any old episode off the shelf from the 1997-98 season that hasn't already run three times? (I'd be willing to bet this will be the most likely route NBC will take.)

     But maybe they'll be a little more inventive
as a way to keep viewership up in the time
slot and pave the way for Frasier to maintain
audience in 1998-99. Maybe they replay the
finale with one of the rumored but never
confirmed alternate endings that were shot but
not used in the show that aired on May 14.
Or maybe they could try something new.
     Could they assemble an episode of series outtakes or alternate takes, or
possibly
a rumored lost episode that supposedly was shot but never aired a few years
back
because of editing problems? (I'm skeptical
about the existence of such an episode my-
self.) Or might they show a little intelligence and run a classic or two from
prior seasons to
send the show off once and for all with class?

Or have they got alternate programming to plug into the 9:00 Thursday slot for the last 8 weeks of the summer season, in which case the July 9 replay of the clip show really will be the end of Seinfeld on NBC? This really wouldn't be a bad idea either. Running more rerun half-hours on the network after replay- ing the clip retrospective seems more than a little awkward.
