Shamefull Cuts

I just saw the 2 part syndication rerun of the Final show. I could only watch part of it because of the butcher job they did on the show. In part 1, cut out Elaine's attempt to tell Jerry she loved him as the plane went down. "Jerry, I love U...." Later she covers herself by saying "I love United Airlines" & they cut out the entire witness testimony of the Bubble Boy in part 2. How sad when such arbitrary cuts to this comedy classic can take place.

Not only did they cut out the Bubble boy testimony, but they DIDN'T cut out the part when the reporter from Rivera Live references it

They also cut out one of my FAVORITE parts in that episode: when Jackie tells Jerry that he doesn't like his tie and gets him a new one, and then Jerry doesn't like it, so Elaine says "Jackie says wear the tie Jerry"

Didn't they also cut out Poppy from the stand if I'm not mistaken?

I really hate them cutting out stuff from any of the episodes, since I think every scene is integral to the episode, especially in this sitcom. But since its sindication, they gotta get rid of something. Lifes a bitch.

Didn't the original showing of the finale have an odd timeslot? I'm thinking either 8:45 to 10:00, or 9:00 to 9:45. If it's the former then it would explain why so much was cut out.

I'm thinking they also cut one of Geraldo's segments. Didn't he and his colleague discus "the rumored romance" between Jerry and Elaine?

I could not agree more, syndiction cuts suck. Does anyone know if there is a site which lists them all? Kp
