Re(2): Ethnicity of Seinfeld characters?

Does anyone remember the first episode of Seinfeld when Jerry and Elaine were going to a wedding? Jerry's family in that episode was very, very WASP. But since then his family has been portrayed as more Jewish. I believe different actors who play his parents now as well.

Jerry's family was not strongly typed in that episode, but they were certainly not cery WASPy. Recall the character named Levine who insisted on having his named pronounced LevINE. Also Jerry's mother was much closer to a TV-Jewish-Mother than anything else. BTW, the mother remains the same. The father changed.
