Is it an absolutely forlorn hope that we will ever see new series of Seinfeld? Not just a once-only ep...but a whole new season?
It seems clear now that Seinfeld the series was greater than the sum of its parts. With the failure of Bob Patterson and The Michael Richards Show, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards might well be wondering what the future holds for them. I wish JLD well, but if this one falls over too....well it would have to be a good bet they would lobby Jerry. Or would it? I suppose Seinfeld has always been a solitary act, and seeing as he's not actualy short of a buck, he would have no compelling reason to reprise the series.
I don't think there would be many Seinfeld fans that would not want to see more and new eps (and if you don't, why not?) so maybe........
Personally, I would be escatic if they did. Any thoughts?

I don't think it'll come back, but I just want a true spinoff, maybe Kramer...just have a new show called Cosmo, people would watch that...probably more than 5 episodes too, IMO : )

I'll be brutally honest. The chances of a whole new season of Seinfeld are about the same as that for a new season of I Love Lucy to be produced with the original cast.
I remember that when the final season was being originally aired, several posters in this newsgroup frequently complained how bad the series had gotten. Personally, I thought that the final season of Seinfeld was usually pretty good, and only two or three episodes from that period were out-and-out duds.
One of the funniest episodes from the final season was the Puerto Rican Day Parade episode, which was pulled from reruns by NBC due to complaints. (Is that episode included in syndication?)
The series, however, is OVER. Jerry Seinfeld actually turned down 100 MILLION DOLLARS to do the show for just one more season. So why would he do another season of Seinfeld years after the series original end?
I for one would like to see a full-length reunion movie, made for the big screen. However, I can accept the fact that the original series is over. It's better for it to end than for it to come back and not be as good.
Guys come on, there will never be anymore seasons of Seinfeld. Sure we might see a reunion episode or something but thats it, the whole kit and kaboodle. No more.

Its ironic that the best-received show has been Larry David's show......for all the claims that the actors were what drove the show, it can be shown that good writing is EVERYTHING......charismatic actors cannot do anything with poor writing.....
