Hmm...

The only time he came close to having a first name was in an episode where Newman took advantage of a farmer's daughter, and as he ran off with his pants at his ankles, being chased by her father with a shotgun, the girl cried out "Bye Norman!".... but, alas, that was probably just a mispronounciation/misunderstanding of "Newman", as they were simple, country folk.

Astro!!! Ok, that's a part we all have. "Astro" Newman, has a nice ring to it like "Cosmo" Kramer. Whenever that Jetson's dog said his name was "Raa-Row" it always sounded like something else to me. And that "something else" would fit Newman perfectly.
