I copy this little excerpt of Andrea Dorian. AD steaming into NY on the night of July 25, 1956. Collided with a Swedish steamer " Stockholm" 46 people were killed. Dorian's starboard ( right side?) was ripped open after confusion among the Stockholm's crew over radar reading. The most likely cause was the Swedish navigator thinking he was on a 15 mile scale, but infact reading to 5 mile. AD still afloat for 11 hrs, at 10 am the hull slipped below the water line. It did carried a one made Chrysler Norseman very futuristic body style with a cantilever roof. From Classics & Sports Car Jan 97 edition.
