Fans have mixed reactions to the finale, with some loving the callback to character types and outtakes while others found the finale itself disappointing compared to the clip show that preceded it.

I too liked the finale. I loved how they brought back so many of the old characters. It summed up why these four people were so funny - THEY WERE JERKS! I thought it was a perfect way to end the show. And Puddy's line was the funniest after Elaine told him not to wait. I just hope they might return in a year as I will suffer withdrawal each Thursday night. I also loved the outtakes preceding the finale - that part where Jerry was cracking up at Kramer whose face had become "hideous" due to smoking. I always wondered how they could get through some of those scenes.

I liked the recap show before the final episode better than the final episode! This is how I want to remember seinfeld. Most of the finale was lame, lame, lame.

And just for the record, yes, I am a true seinfeld fan, who has watched it since day 1 of "The Seinfeld Chronicles", even before it became popular.
