I mentioned that question in a post earlier, and I was wondering if any of those who were curious are still around : what was your thinking behind this? I know that "The Invitations" was dedicated to the memory of someone who passed away in the crew, but what made you think it had anything to do with Susan Ross dying in that episode? Did you actually believe the actress all of a sudden collapsed dead, and Larry David goes "THATS IT! SAVE THAT FOOTAGE! I LIKE IT..." and they worked it into the plot? just wondering...

No, The actress is alive and well, and was able to make a cameo in "The Betrayal" during the "2 Years Earlier" sequence.

   No, Heidi Swedberg's alive and well. But we haven't seen much of her. Come
to think of it, of all the people who made appearances as recurring characters
in the show other than the Fab Four stars, is anyone other than Wayne Knight
(3d Rock from the Sun, NBC) and Jerry Stiller (King of Queens, CBS) doing much
right now?
     Lots of good performers seem to be dealing with temporary career death
after the end of the best and most popular sitcom of the decade.

This is something I've often wondered about. There are an awful lot of actors who show up here and there in bit parts. What do they do the rest of the time? Surely they don't make enough with their occasional acting jobs to tide them over.

I'm seeing lots of John O'Hurley and Patrick Warburton in TV commercials.

And Debra Jo Rupp (Jerry's overbearing assistant Katie) is doing alright as the mom in "That 70's Show" (perhaps the only decent thing to come out of this season's typical trash filled line-up).

Yes she died. Fortunatly they had a scene where the was licking envepoles and collapsed. She was only going to be an invalid and George was going to dump her. Worked out well!
