Sorry Ratboy, While the Seinfeld Chronicals was a awful episode, I can't really judge it badly because it was just starting out however "The Reverse Peephole" was an episode that aired when the the show was just statring, and it was alot blander. My Vote For Worst Seinfeld Ever Goes To The Reverse Peephole.

I would give it to "The Busboy". The only time I cracked a smile was when Kramer was yelling "The busboy's coming, the busboy's coming." "The Seinfeld Chronicles" (The Pilot) is not far behind.

"The Wait Out", in my opinion, was pretty poor. So was "The Puerto Rican Day".

According to "Seinfeld Forever" the worse episode was "The Bottle Deposit." TV Guide gives that only one star while six other episodes get at least a star and a half.

Actually, you could make a good argument that the weakest episodes were the "Good News, Bad News" 1989 pilot (missing Elaine and therefore a crucial element of the show's chemistry) and the April 30 episode from this year, the one about Jerry's fling with his maid which seemed almost like it was badly edited and elements of the show that might have added to the comprehensibility of the plot were missing. (It's no secret that the filming usually runs 3, 5, sometimes even 10 minutes over the allocated slot for the show and has to be cut...sometimes the cutting is worse than others. That one clearly had some secondary plot points and explanatory gags missing.)

The finale we'll see Thursday ran 17 minutes over when filmed...and for both economic and artistic reasons they decided NOT to cut it, but just roll it uncut at 8:45 Eastern time. It may make a big difference...

I think the worst episode was probably the one with Bette Midler or perhaps the "backwards" episode. The Bette Midler episode just simply wasn't funny. It was like they were willing to sacrifice the quality to accomodate the guest star. The Kramer role was really poorly written... totally out of charactor (Hey! That's Bette Freakin' Midler!!) Ooooh... how daring!!! What was the point? As for the backwards show... why did they bother? Did they really think they needed a gimmick? Not even funny. Seinfeld (the show) set a new, higher, standard... these two just didn't come close. Walt.

The Worst Seinfeld ever would have to have been in the last season.. I am a huge Seinfeld fan and have seen every episode... there were a few early on in the last season which just were not up to standard... I cant remember specifically the episodes but they were pretty bad.. other than these and the first ever episode, where george was 'smart', they have all been funny in their own way.

IMHO the worst were (both last year) "The Maid" and "The Dealership". both made me wince with lame, forced humor and characterization. But even they had a few laughs each, which is more than you can say for most shows even when they work.

I found myself a little annoyed watching "The Dealership" because I disliked what had been done with the "George" character, i.e. he wasn't funny at all, just a shouting lunatic. It's pretty sad that "Puddy" was the saving grace of an episode. I also disliked "The Blood." That was the episode I was watching when I really noticed the change in the show from insightful to maccrabre. I did like the food/sex idea with George, but I don't think it was carried out well. That episode was also damned by another "Mandalbaum" appearance.

Oh well, it's much more fun to talk about the GOOD episodes, isn't it? "The Switch," anyone?

my least favorite was just rerun this past thursday...jerry had Jerry Lewis' cufflinks...introduced a new character (a neighbor we'd never seen before or after) and the worst resolution to a story ever...Jerry and Kramer in a pet cemetery digging up a dead bird....so sitcommy (sitcomish? sitcomesque?) Completely out of character for Jerry, but would have been perfect for Laverne and Shirley.

I don't think "The Contest" is as good as people say it is. However, in my opinion, "The Bizarro Jerry" is the most boring episode.

Is the Bizarro Jerry the one where Elaine makes 3 other friends just like Kramer, George , and Jerry?

No contest the worst two episodes were "The Chinese Restaurant" and "The Parking Garage" The one where theyre online at the movies the whole time was pretty terrible as well, but hell I can deal with 3 lousy shows for all the great ones.

Now wait a minute you two, you're both wrong - IMO of course. I'll always maintain that the worst episode was easily "The Heart Attack"; "Lupus" and "Elaine, what are you doing here?" not withstanding. Two highlights do not raise this show above the ordinariness of its TV surroundings. IOW, lame satire of a holistic healer could be found on dozens of other shitcoms.

I agree, I have always hated "The Chinese Restaurant", I have a theory that the episodes that ignore Jerry's apartment are the weakest (except that I do like the Parking Garage).

TOTALLY AGREE! I hate it so much I can't ever remember the title of the show, it's always "the one with Bette Midler in it" to me! That one and "The Dealership", are my two least favs.
