Fans celebrate Seinfeld's mention of Melrose Place, viewing it as validation for watching the rival Fox show and discussing whether Melrose Place is actually worth watching.
I can't believe Jerry watches Melrose. I'm some glad they mentioned it. Now all men can tell their girlfriends they watch it and not be ashamed. Melrose is one of the best shows on TV right now, and now we will always have the Seinfeld excuse for watching it.

If I like things like Seinfeld, Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, NYPD Blue, Homicide, X-Filies, etc., what's in MP to appeal to me? I once made it through about 2/3 of an episode of BH: 90210 before becoming fairly bored; MP is somewhat similar, right?
I won't invest even one hour in it until I get a persuasive arguement! (;

Wow. That's really beautiful. I mean, it's really heartening to see that close-mindedness and elitism are alive and well in America today. Here's a suggestion. Chill the fuck out. If you don't like the show, don't watch it, but sure as hell don't go impugning the manhood of people who do.
Oh, and by the way, that line about the brews is just classic. Let me tell you what: You go drink your brews. Leave the rest of us alone.

Hey! I watch Melrose because it's one of the funniest shows on TV. Here in Australia, we're in a break at the moment and it has been replaced by Models Inc, which I think goes too far past comedy to be funny. It's normally on Tuesday at 8.30pm, straight after Roseanne, Seinfeld and Mad About You,and before Northern Exposure. Truly, a great night's viewing!
