This big debate about Seinfeld being anti-Irish, anti-Japanese, anti-whatever is growing old real fast. Let me simplify it for those who don't quite understand what is going on here--it's a TV show and it's funny! If you think Seinfeld is targeting your specific race, religion, sexual preference, etc.--get over it! It's comedy and it doesn't hurt anyone, so just deal with it! If it hurts your feelings, don't watch it! I've never seen such an uproar over nothing. In it's 8 years, Seinfeld has found a way to make fun of almost everyone and everything, and that's what makes the show so great. It's harmless fun and if the people making a big deal about this can't see that then they are beyond reason. The best thing to do is ignore their childish rants and maybe they will shut up once and for all.

Comedy can work without "making fun." And if you take this so-called "harmless fun" and move it from TV to the real world (not a very far move!) it's suddenly not "harmless fun" anymore, is it?
You say that if someone doesn't like Seinfeld, then they should just stop watching it. How about, "if you don't like the messages posted here, then stop reading them!" Works both ways, doesn't it?

Yes, making fun of people just because of what they are born as isnt a nice thing to do, and i dont believe there are many peopl ein this group that think otherwise.
BUT we come here to discuss Seinfeld stuff, not civil rights and bigotry. Now if in the next episode Jerry comes out and says "Man , i sure hate them kikes...i wish theyed leave the country and take alla the slopes with them...." THAT would be worth discussing, but poking subtle barbs isnt bed.
When was the last time you heard a good blonde joke and laffed yer butt off? Thats not nice to blondes now , is it? Or a good Pollock or Dago joke? I laugh at them all the time and happen to have Grandparents from Both Italy and Poland....
