Favorite Episodes - The Soup Nazi Epsisode, the rye bread episode (where jerry steals the rye from the old lady and George uses a fishing line to bring it to the window and Kramer feeds his horse with gas-causing food), the pony episode, the episode where Jerry dates the woman who always wears the same dress.

There WERE shows before this past year ya know! And they WERE much better!! Like "The Contest," "The Outing" ,and "The Bubble Boy" my three favorite...

My favorite episode is the one where Jerry uses George's "baby," Jerry gets heckled then returns the favor, Kramer saves the toe and twarts a terrorist, George knocks the grandma over to get out of the burning building, and Elaine doesn't get the promotion.

I think the best episode was the one that George told Susanne's dad that his cabin had burned down. With the mother who was drunk and the love letters it was a classic! :)

I think the all time classic is the "Soup Nazi"

My best episodes were the Maturbation(oops I said it) episode,the Soup Nazi episode and the episode where a woman who is magazine writer thinks that Jerry and George are gay lovers. Seinfeld is greatest comedy of the decade.

My favorite episode is the soup nazi, the B-O stinking virus and the episode where Kramer gets treated like a pimp.

Is this the episode where Jerry gets 'Even Steven', and does this expression mean anything special?

The best episode, in my humble opinion was THe Contest.

One of my favorite episodes is one I haven't seen mentioned here at all, hardly: the Spitter, with Keith Hernandez. I don't see it in reruns very often either, but I think it's hysterical.

I agree!! The faux Zapruder film and Jerry's explanation of the "magic spit" leave me crying every time.

I agree--this was a two part episode, and I think that both were hilarious. Even the stand-up sequences were great: I especially love Jerry's bit about the boxes (anyone who has every moved know exactly what he's talking about)!

go to the beach house "to see the ugly baby!"...and everyone sees Georges date topless except him and he tries to get even...what about the lines referring to "the shrinkage"!

I like the Soup Nazi and the one where George gets a job parking cars on Jerry's street, it's the one with "These pretzels are making me thirsty."

To me the best episode was when George was caught by his mother. "You Know" I love the part when George visits his mother and sees the patient getting the sponge bath in the next bed "hold on ma! hold on!" I also enjoyed how they followed it up in a later episode when George was afraid he was gay. He is in the same room visiting his mother again and there is a guy in the bed next to her getting a sponge bath! Well Done!

The first Seinfeld show I watched was "The Restaurant" - I saw the storyline in TV Guide and kept thinking its weird and made sure that I watched it, I was hooked.

I recently read a post where a person had posted episode numbers along with their titles. I am wondering where this person got these, and if such a list exists, where can I get it. Maybe that should be part of a FAQ of the alt.tv.seinfed newsgroup???

Did George's fiance, Susan really die from licking the envelopes from their Wedding invitations or was George just dreaming.

IMHO, the best are Soup Nazi, and the airplane episode (where Jerry's in first class and Elain's in coach)

Am *I* the only one who like the episode where Kramer gets a hot tub?

Both airplane episodes--the one where Jerry's in first, Elaine's in coach, and the one where they unknowingly impersonate a Nazi to get a ride in a limo from Kennedy to Madison Square Garden.

And the contest. And no one's mentioend the puffy shirts.

They're all great - but the one that got me hooked on Seinfeld was the "this and that" episode which was the one that had Jerry and Elaine get to together for "this, that and the other".

That ep is called "The Deal" and it also is one of my favorites. Still "The Deal" is the most atypical Seinfeld ep of all. I can see why some fans hate it. In it all the characters show their best traits and even Jerry seems to be a romantic (for the moment) at the end.

Hey, George ends up showing loyalty to Jerry and concern for Elaine's feelings. Kramer gives Elaine the gift she wants and the touching card with the poem by Yeats (sp) and Elaine demands a committment for sexual relations to continue. Larry David, who wrote this, must have been feeling mighty good in his life!

Oh well, the gang was back to their dastardly selves after this! Kramer's ending line "I liked you two better when you were'nt a couple" seemed to sum up the coming reality. It would have changed Seinfeld drastically if the series had continued in this vein (this was ep #16). But it was an interesting change of pace.

Well, I believe that the best episode I've seen is where Jerry goes to the dentist and they take advantage of him and he later hears about it in playboy magazine!!

I just wanted to say that I think the mag. is Penthouse, but in not sure though ;)

Hello, an Aussie Seinfeld fan thinks the "Masturbation competition" was the best episode...

The magazine was Penthouse forum, Kramer had picked it up at the newsstand with George.

Also really liked the one where Jerry, Elaine, and George all volunteer for this old-folks centre and where Kramer and Newman try to sell some old records. :)

One of my many favorite episodes would have to be "The Jimmy". Kramer cracked me up when he was loaded with novocain! He's the best!!! Has anyone noticed that his character's a bit tamer now? He used to be more physical.

What about the episode where they all meet at the movies and George has to constantly give up his ticket stub? Rochelle Rochelle a young girls exotic journey from Milan to Minsk!

My favorite episode has to be one I just saw in syndication the other day. I don't know the title of the episode, but three of the funniest plots ever on the show were all in this episode. there was George's toupee (and Elaine's eventually throwing it out the window), Jerry having to take a lie detector test after lying about watching Melrose Place, and Elaine trying to convert the gay guy ("How can I compete? They have access to that equipment 24 hours a day"). I always said that "The Contest" or the one where they keep trying to prove that they're not gay ("Not that there's anything wrong with it!") was the best one, but after seeing this one, I have to change my vote. I think the best episode is the one where George takes his father's old clothes (his "Cabana-wear") from the attic and sells them to a local used clothes dealer, then Kramer buys some and he is wearing them at the Costanza'a house and Mr. Costanza thinks he stole them.

Or the one where Elaine didn't want her former boyfriend to think that she said hi because then he would have the "upper hand" on their relationship.

I think the best episodes were if the four of them were Master Of Their Domain! Or when Kramer goes out to Rockaway and drives golfs balls into the ocean and the ball that went way out there got stuck in the blowhole of a whale. That's also the episode when George was supposed to be an Marine Biologist! Chris

Personally, one of my favorite episodes was the one where Kramer is mistaken for a pimp wearing that Technicolor dreamcoat thing and gets arrested. The one I hate is the one with Pavaratti as a clown or something.. for some reason my local channel plays that one SO many times... i'm getting sick of it!
