Kramer- the show?

I heard rumors that once Seinfeld goes off the air, they are making a spinoff called Kramer. Any thoughts?

I've heard the rumors, but to be the central character of a show, Kramer would have to lose his mystery. He'd have to be more like someone you could identify with. It might work, but it sure wouldn't work like the Kramer of today...

Kramer as a spinoff show would be OK, but I dread the thought of Seinfeld going off the air. Each member of the cast is like a member of an orchestra, they complement each other to make great comedic music. Jerry is the rhythm section, the backbone of the sound. George is the woodwind section, all highs and lows. Elaine is the string section, soothing. And Kramer is a horn soloist, riffing against the backdrop of the entire band. (Newman is the tuba). A show featuring just the soloist can be fun, but you really need the whole band.

As funny and great as Kramer is (anybody remember him in Friday's in the 70's)?, I hope he has a good supporting cast. Most sitcom actors and actresses are so good because the entire cast meshes so well-then on their own, they flop. Not always, but a good deal of the time. I don't think anybody from Friends f'rinstance would be any good in their own show (well Chandler maybe). David

I agree with you, I saw Chandler once in a whole episode of "Dream On" in wich he was trying to get Martin's job and once in Caroline in the city (small part thought). He can surely adapt to any role he is given... I would love to see him on Seinfeld (maybe as Elaine's youg boyfriend!!!)

I like Kramer a lot but if Jerry, Elaine, and Geoge are gone... I am not sure how enjoyable the new show would be. Who are the writers? -ncy
