Art Van Dalay who are you?

Okay, how many times has the name Art Van Dalay (hope spelling is correct :) been used by George for one of his schemes ???????

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the show where George told the woman he was architect was the first show of the series. I am ready and willing to admit my mistake if someone can point me in the right direction.

"The Stakeout" was the 2nd episode, and the first where Art Vandelay was mentioned. The name also came up in "The Boyfriend" when George lied to the unemployment office worker (Mrs. Sokol) about a job with Vandelay Industries (they manufacture latex and 'latex related products'), and "The Cadillac (part 2)" when George wants to meet Marisa Tomei and uses 'Art Vandelay' as part of his alibi (Elaine's importer/exporter boyfriend).

This past week in the serenity now, George pretended to have Mr Vandelay on the phone.

hey, how about the episode where he used the "man hands" picture to attract women, saying she was dead. Didn't he mention Art Vandelay in that episode as well?

In addition to those three:

In "The Bizarro Jerry," George asks for Art when he picks up the woman at Brant-Leland with the model picture. I was just watching it last night on tape :)

I'm sure there are others. Anybody else with a better memory?

Here's a really obscure one. On the animated show "Duckman," Jason Alexander of course is the voice of Duckman. I caught the end of an episode recently where Duckman was trying to get his old girlfriend back (or something...I missed most of the episode) and she hangs up on him (she is an enormous duck, by the way). She is then shown with her new boyfriend. She says to him in a provocative voice, "Just call me Miss Vandalay!"

Actually, since you missed the beginning, you don't know how funny this ending is. We learn early in the episode that whenever Duckman gets horny, he goes out with a blind Seinfeld groupie who thinks he's Jason Alexander wearing a duck suit!

At the end of the show, Duckman calls her, but she tells him she knows he's a fake and she hangs up on him. Then we see her little apartment with Seinfeld stuff all over the walls and she's got (animated) Jason Alexander tied up. She tells him she wishes he had his duck suit with him, but Alexander is scared, doesn't know what she's talking about.

Then she straddles him and says "Tonight, call me...Vandelay!"

It's a f***ing hilarious ending to a f***ing hilarious episode. If you haven't seen Duckman, check it out. There's lots of little Seinfeld references, but this was the big one. With a King of Comedy spoof thrown in for good measure.

When Mr. Lippman asked George who he read, he said he read something called "Venetian Blinds" by Art Vandelay, if I'm not mistaken.

It was the second, called the Stakeout, and by the way Jerry was trying to meet the womand and George came with him. They said they were having lunch with their importer/exporter friend Art Vandeley.
