I wrote the "get a grip" to myself, pal. So now, when I need to decide if something is funny or just plain offensive, I, and everyone else, can turn to you? When did we bestow the honor of "comedy correctnees" policeman to you? I don't think I'll trust the opinions of a guy who puts "Will Work For Chocolate" in his sig. That just ain't funny. As the originator of the remark about swearing not being funny, let me clarify. I specifically said I did not find the swearing offensive, just that I don't find it FUNNY, like I don't find slapstick funny, or knock-knock jokes funny. This was in response to several posters who thought the beeping was hilarous--I was simply giving MHO. Here's another: having the mother swear at the end was STALE as h*ll--jeez, you could see that coming a mile away.

BYW, posting "Get a grip" will certainly not make people think you're talking to yourself.

Analogous to "Get a clue".
