Stolen Car Episode?

Last year there was a great episode wherein Jerry communicated with the car thief on the cellular phone. I was watching for the repeat this summer, but never saw it. Anyone remember this episode and recall seeing it as a rerun?

There was the episode in which a valet's B.O. infested Jerry's car and all that came in contact with it. He made many attempts to rid the vehicle of "the Beast," even tried to sell it, with no success. Episode ended with Jerry more or less handing the car over to a seedy looking character, who is also disgusted by the odor when he gets in the car. Don't remember him talking to any thief on a car phone, though. Elaine had to have her hair washed in tomato sauce to get rid of the Beast.

     But there was an episode from a couple seasons ago, in which Jerry's car
     was stolen, and he dialed his car phone number from his apartment and
     talked to the guy who stole his car.  This was an entirely different
     episode than "The Smelly Car" from last season.

My brother lost his copy of "The Alternate Side", so I can't confirm this, but didn't the thief call Jerry and ask him something about how to work something in the car, first, and then Jerry said something to the effect, while I have you on the phone, would you please send back the gloves?

The episode with the B.O. Beast is a different episode from the one in which his car is stolen. In the Stolen Car Episode Jerry phones the thief on his car phone and the thief answers. Kramer had left a pair of gloves? in the glove box and has Jerry ask the thief to mail them to him. Jerry also has one of my favorite seens where he deals with a car retal agency. He has a reservation, but the retal place does not have a car of the type Jerry has reserved. Jerry makes a comment about car rentals 'taking' reservations, but never 'having' reservations. Jerry never gets his car back, but in the end we see Kramer wearing the gloves that were left in the car.

I have yet to see the above mentioned episode; it sounds like a good one. However, is it true that he never gets his car back? In the episode "The Subway" when the fab four are discussing their individual plans for the day, Jerry says that he is on his way out to Coney Island to pick up his car from a police pound. The quote goes something like this: George: "I can't believe they actually recovered your stolen car." Jerry: "Not only did they recover it, but the interior's simonized, and the front end's been aligned!" Is it possible that "The Subway" was the episode that followed the "The Stolen Car"?

PS. Of course, he doesn't manage to get the car back in "The Subway" either but one can assume he does at some later time.

I think it was the '91-2 season, not '92-3.

I haven't seen that for a while either, but, if I am remembering it correctly, it was easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I think that this was the same episode in which Elaine was dating an older man (a writer named Owen March) who has a stroke, Jerry rents a car (which George wrecks), and Kramer gets (and loses) a bit part in a Woody Allen movie. In short, more guffaws per minute than anything else I'd seen in quite some time. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it in recent memory.
