I'm sure you all loved it. I thought it was okay. The actual Festivus Celebration dinner sucked, but other than that last 5 minutes, it was a good episode. A lot of the old Seinfeld chemistry is back.(the chemistry that got lost in season 8) I give it a B-. I wasn't great. Dan

I thought the last minutes were good, they were really funny and sort of brought the episode and several others from this season together. I liked how Kramer thnaked the guy for firing him, it's kind of good to see that he will be going back to normal, from what people said this about this episode Krmaer was on strike from work in general, it was much funner the way that he was on strike from that bagel store and would not work anywhere else until it was reolved, very in character actually, I do wonder though, how did he get money while on strike?
I thought that this episode was a definite classic, I would give it an B+, it wasent great but it was very good

Mr Costanza is becoming borderline insane, where he used to be a loud kvetchy Jewish type even though he's supposedly Italian. (yeah, right) Is this alzheimers or something? I'm serious.
And what was with those creeps at the OTB? They're focusing entirely too much on Elaine's sex life, as though it needs to be addressed in some judeo/christian morality bullshitty way for some reason. Are they the replacements for the gay felons who stole Elaines armoire and incited a riot at the AIDS walkathon? If they are, why are they so damn UGLY? Why plague Elaine with such ghastly looking guys? What is THAT about?
But the ugly/beautiful woman portion of it was excellent. Last weeks episode ruled. This weeks episode sucked. It may have been the worst episode ever done, imo.

Thanks for the address of the bagel shop. I am pleased that the show continues to use stores and shops located on the upper west side since that is where the character's live. A good point for continuity.

Agreed, the worst thing about this episode was the spoiling of the Kramer mystery. As long as they were going to explain his job, this was a good explanation, and it seemed in character. However, it really would have been better not to address it at all. First his first name, now his job--next thing you know we're going to find out where he gets all his money, and you know that's no good!
The chemistry does seem to be the main thing that's improved since last season. They're definitely making an effort for the characters to interact with one another more.
....i gave it a solid A- for its sheer lunacy and variety.
besides the Festivus theme, i loved Kramer going back to work
in the bagel shop ("Let's bagel!") and the two lusty clowns at
betting parlor. It marks Seinfeld's return to the world of

Of course each other viewer has his/her opinion too. And many did find it funny as per the posts. But there is controversy about it and many of the new ones. There were no dissentions to the shows in the great years, maybe just a few comparisons as too which were the greatest.
I guess I can catch the Rapters games in Toronto on Thursdays now. :->

I loved it. There was just one great line after another. The best quickie was the boss pulling out a flask at the Festivus dinner. This guy might be the most honest depiction of an American executive ever!
I wonder why if Frank hasn't celebrated Festivus for years why he sent a Festivus card to George. How about when Kramer stuck his coat in with the bagels? That cracked me up.
My fav line: "I'll get the pole out of the crawl space."
Here's one I noticed from the Nipple show. Elaine rubs Georges head in her breasts after he bitches about not getting a Christmas card. That reminded me of the recent episode where Elaine rubbed the keyboard on her ass in the Germ thread. I love it when Elaine does stuff like that.
I kinda like most of the new shows (unlike many in this newsgroup) but this was a abd one. I actually had to check the TV Guide to see if it was an hour long episode. It really seemed to drag.
How many people have celebrated Festivus so far? It has all the elements of a classic holiday. Just think, we could have Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus and New Year's all lined up in a row!
