Interesting Use of Syndication Episodes

In Columbus, Ohio, the syndicated Seinfeld episodes air on the ABC affiliate. A few weeks ago, they started running episodes on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m., in place of repeats of "Ellen." I don't know if ABC or Ellen fans mind, but it's a chance to see the Seinfeld reruns earlier than they usually air here (11:30 p.m.).

It would be interesting to know if the local ratings for these special Seinfeld airings exceed those of the ABC fare which they've replaced. In any other cities, does the station airing the syndicated Seinfelds ever run them in prime time in place of the network shows?

not in atlanta....we have a WB affiliate carrying it at 10 pm Sunday through Friday. I'm surprised that #1) an abc station carrying a recently still running NBC show (did they just pick it up?)and #2) like you, I am surprised that they are running it in prime time....oh well.....it is on earlier and for that you can be grateful although 10 pm seems ideal to me...

I live near Pittsburgh, and fox53 shows them at 7:30, I've never seen a seinfeld on TV after 10:00, unless I'm watching it off one of my tapes. Just my thoughts...

In Minneapolis it shows on FOX at 6:00 with Fraiser at 6:30 leading right into prime time...but on FOX.

The NBC affiliate in Bangor, Maine, WLBZ2, shows syndie Seinfeld but has never done it, AFAIK. But, WUHF Fox 31 Rochester NY, didn't show "Beethoven" on US election night in 1996 in order to show a 2 hour Seinfeld marathon.

Here in Orlando the syndicated episodes are shown on a WB affiliate at 7:30PM. The only time they change it is to move the show to 7:00 if an Orlando Magic game is to follow at 7:30.
