The groundbreaking Pigman/circumcision episode cleverly had Kramer as the "natural man" fighting for the rights of both a mutant "pigman" and an infant boy to be free of medical tampering.
An interesting side issue concerned male body image revulsion. Both George and Elaine who generally oppose Kramer's views see the uncircumcized member as repulsive. And George, obsessed with body image sensitivity, concedes that having mutant pigmen around would help him feel better about his appearance. This was followed by the humorous baldness discussion between George and the hospital administrator.
By the way, my showbiz friends tell me that the actor who played the mohel was the producer's second choice. For some reason, their first choice, a well-known Jewish comedian, didn't work out. My friends could not learn from their source who that first choice was. The producer's second choice was superb.
